THE MUSIC MINISTRY OF NEW COVENANT CHURCH SITTINGBOURNE

We consider ourselves musical ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the church and the community. Our vision is to make Christian music a meaningful and integral part of the lives of individuals in NCC Sittingbourne.

We strive as a group to praise and worship God in spirit and in truth together with the congregation through our lives and our music. We also aim to minister to the needs of the congregation in song whenthey come into the sanctuary. We believe that God inhabits the praises of his people and the glory of the lord fills the temple as in the days of old when we minister - Exodus 40:35, 1Kings 8;10.

From time to time, the choir introduces new, vibrant and relevant songs so that the church remains current and abreast with the work of God in the lives of Christian musicians and composers. We also ensure that lyrics of all songs are available to be projected so that all persons (visitors and members alike) can sing along and appreciate the meaning of songs.

The choir is a family of talented men and women with a passion for music and a heart for God. As well as singers, the choir consists of instrumentalists – organists, drummers and guitarists of all ages.

As well as ministering in song in all church services and programs, we provide live music at worthwhile programs in the community including fundraising activities in support of evangelism and ethnic minority programs organized by Diversity House Sittingbourne.

We meet once a week on Fridays (7:30 – 9:30pm) to learn new songs and prepare for ministry on Sunday.
